How to Play
Baccarat is a popular casino game that requires you to bet on one of three possible outcomes; player win, banker win or draw. A total of four cards are dealt (two to the banker and two to the player), the first of which goes the way of the player and is placed face up. The banker is then dealt a first card, before the process is repeated. The winner is the hand which is closest in value to nine. For example, if the player receives 2 and 3, and the banker receives 4 and 5, the banker wins as 4 + 5 = 9.
Tens, Jacks, Queens and Kings are all worth zero. Should the total of the hand exceed 10, the value of each cards is added together and the second digit of the total is recorded. For example, if the cards 7 and 8 are dealt, the total will be 15, therefore the final number, 5, will be taken as the final score.
Should the player’s score fail to match that of the banker, the player may request another card to be drawn. If the player’s three cards reach a total that is closer to nine than that of the banker, the player wins. A third card may only be drawn when the player’s score is between 0 and 5.
However, should the cards played equal 8 or 9, the game will be over as this is referred to as a ‘natural win’. Players are also required to stand if the cards dealt equal 6 or 7. A draw is called when both hands record the same total.
Playing the Game
Before you take your seat, you need to select a nickname and an avatar from the options provided. Once you’re happy with your online presence, proceed to the casino floor and select your table; here you are greeted by a dealer and a number of betting options. Simply select the size of your wager using the chips displayed on- screen, before the timer in the top right-hand corner reaches zero. Once the time expires, no bets will be accepted. Now all that’s left to do is wait for the dealer to draw the cards and declare a winner.
